Alice M. Radtke, 92, of Mendota died April 12, 2010, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mendota. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Merritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is one hour prior to services Wednesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born Aug. 6, 1917, in LaMoille to Harrison and Mae (Thornberry) Gower. She married Barney Radtke on May 24, 1958. She was a graduate of LaMoille High School and was employed as a waitress at Octave Restaurant in Mendota and as a sales clerk at Steele Jewelry in Mendota for many years. She is survived by one stepsister, Betty Dufour of Mendota; one stepbrother, Philip Zinke of Mendota; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney, in May 1980. Memorials may be directed to Sauk Valley Humane Society.
