Annette Pohl, 70, of Mendota died Oct. 7, 2009, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Fredi Gomez-Torres officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born April 13, 1939, in La Salle to Harry and Rose (Rother) Houski. She married David Pohl on Oct. 28, 1961, in Cherry. She co-owned and operated Pohl's Office Supply in Mendota, La Salle Office Supply and Ottawa Office Supply. She was a member of Holy Cross Church  and St. Mary's Altar Society. She is survived by her husband of Mendota; one daughter, Ginny Pohl of Mendota; two sons, Tim (Molly) Pohl of Mendota and Mark (Lisa) Pohl of Cherry; six grandchildren; and one sister, Rita (Wesley) Hoscheid of Cherry. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimers Association, Holy Cross Church or Mendota Lutheran Home.
