Obituary

Anthony (Tony) R. Taylor, 70, of LaMoille passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2019.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Church, Arlington with Father Patrick Fixsen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with a Rosary at 3:15 p.m.

Tony was born on October 11, 1948 in Princeton to Christopher and Rosaria (Mercogliano)Taylor. He married Yvonne Muldoon on April 4, 2012 in Princeton.

He is survived by his wife of LaMoille; two sons Eddie (Barbie) Taylor of Dallas, Texas and Mike (Diane)Taylor of LaMoille; two daughters Angela (Dave) Miller of LaMoille and Monica (Jason) Shofner of Princeton; four step children: Rick (Carol) Muldoon, Denise Lovgren, Mark Muldoon and Stephanie (Phillip) Ortez: four grandsons Scott Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Blake Shofner and Nolan Shofner; three granddaughters Tiffany Taylor, Rebecca Taylor and Taylor Miller; two great granddaughters Isabella Taylor and Ravenna Henderson; two brothers Jim (Rosie) Taylor of Spring Valley and Rick (Julie) Taylor of Princeton; four sisters Mary Taylor of La Moille, Dode (Clyde) Perry of Spring Valley, Lucy Taylor of Princeton and Linda (Carl) Beattie of Ohio, Ill; nine nieces Stephanie (Tracy) Felton, Erin (Aaron) Rodriguez, Sarah (Gaby) Hudson, Nicole Roberts, Malinda Taylor, Caitlan Fink, Cara (Jessica)Taylor, Chelsea Taylor and Alex Marandola; nine nephews Brian Taylor, Jacob (Melissa) Taylor, Christopher (Jenn) Perry, Zachary Taylor, Mike Fink, Jason Taylor, David (Robyn) Beattie, Brad Beattie and Luke Beattie; nine great nieces Rosalie (Gonzalo) Gallardo, Jana Felton, Gracelyn Harris, Eva Rodriguez, Emilia Rodriguez, Angelina Rodriguez, Jaydyn Smith, Jaynee Smith and Nora Kelly; eleven great nephews Andrew Taylor, Sidney Davis, Colt Perry; Jeremy Smith, Jr., Justin Smith, Aiden Antonucci, Calvin Hill, Richard Fink, Connor Fink, Daiquain Owens and Vincent Beattie; one great great nephew Giocanni Gallardo; six step grandchildren Stephanie Hadley, Brian Lovgren, Nicole Letourneau, Hayden Muldoon, Chelsie Ortez and Nathan Ortez; five step great grandchildren Aspen Hadley, Samantha Hadley, Sydney Hill, Maci Letourneau and Cole Letourneau

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother George Taylor and brother in law Clyde Perry.

Tony graduated from LaMoille High School.  His greatest passions were riding his bike and spending time with his family. As an avid motorcyclist he toured much of the United States including Alaska, Sturgis numerous times and Yellowstone Park.   Everywhere he traveled, he made friends.   He enjoyed spending time with his family, wintering in Texas, fishing, traveling, gambling. He was a retired Local 150 Operating Engineer. For the past seven years he has been actively involved in St. Jude Rides which benefits children with cancer. He was and will always be a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

The family requests donations be made to St. Jude Rides in lieu of flowers.
