Arlene F. Schlesinger, 90,
of Heritage Health, Mendota,
formerly of Sublette, died
July 29, 2012, in Heritage
Health.
A private funeral service
will be at a later date with the
Rev. Jamie Wallace officiating.
Burial will be at Restland
Cemetery, Mendota.
There will be no visitation.
Merritt Funeral Home,
Mendota provided the
arrangements.
She was born July 3, 1922,
in Scarboro to Wayne and
Ruth (Barker) Pierce. She
married Delphan Schlesinger
on Feb. 20, 1941, in
Immanuel Lutheran Church
of Compton.
She received her licensed
practical nurse degree from
Illinois Valley Community
College. She then worked at
the Amboy hospital, Mendota
Community Hospital and in
the medical offices of Drs.
Fleming, Spenader and Su.
She was a member of
Immanuel Lutheran Church
of Compton.
She is survived by her husband,
Delphan of Sublette;
two sons, Randy Schlesinger
of Sublette and Gale (Jeanne)
Schlesinger of Cedar Rapids,
Iowa; one daughter, Sharon
(Robert) Kellen of Sublette;
six grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by one brother and two sisters.
Memorials may be directed
to Immanuel Lutheran
Church.
