Audrey June Graper, 79, of Troy Grove passed away in her home on the morning of Saturday, November 22nd following a short battle with lung cancer. Audrey was born June 3, 1935 in Piety, Hill, Il. to Marshall and Rose (Kralj) Johnson. As a child she enjoyed horseback riding and farm life. She married the love of her life, Russell Graper on March 20, 1959. Audrey worked at Westclox and then with Russell at their family business in Troy Grove. She was an active member of Ax Church in LaSalle. She enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, dancing, canoeing, and motorhome camping. She had a soft spot in her heart for horses, longhorn cattle, and German Shepard dogs. Audrey was very active and worked at the family business, Graper Sales and Service, until she became ill.
She has one son John (Debbie) Graper of Troy Grove; two grandchildren Shelby (Daniel) Ramirez of Arlington, TX. and Cameron (Aimee) Graper of Troy Grove; one great grandchild Olive Ramirez; one brother Marshall "Dusty" (Sue) Johnson of Piety Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Russell in 2001.
She left behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, friendliness, and humor to all those who knew her. Her family looks forward to reuniting with her in Heaven someday.
There will be a remembrance service in her honor on December 18 at 11:00a.m., in the Faith Bible Fellowship, Troy Grove with burial following at Troy Grove Cemetery.
