Obituary
Barbara Lynette Morehead (nee Truckenbrod), 70 years young, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 22, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Clarion with Rev. Ian Griffith officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the funeral and private will be private at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Barbara was born on July 7, 1952 in Mendota to the late Paul and Marjorie (Meyer) Truckenbrod. Barb married the love of her life, Jeffrey Morehead, on September 11, 1976 at Zion Lutheran Church and they had three children.
Barb worked as a dietary manager at KSB Hospital for over 20 years and was Treasurer for the Village of Harmon. She was an avid crafter, singer, cook, and loving grandmother. She was a member of Sweet Adelines singing group and worked with Primitive Frills in Sterling.
Barb is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Morehead of Harmon; her sons Joshua (Katie) Morehead and Jacob Morehead; daughter Molly Thomson; grandchildren Brady, Chandler (Crystal), Abby, Addason, and Jane; great granddaughter Madalyn, brother Paul (Patricia) Truckenbrod and many nephews and nieces.
