Barbara J. Younglove, 77, of Mendota died peacefully November 3, 2017 at OSF St. Paul Medical Center, Mendota surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Jeff Schlesinger officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Mendota.

Barbara was born December 18, 1939 in Princeton to Lyle and Ruth (Petersen) Heward. She married Lyle Younglove on July 3, 1956 in Princeton.

She was a graduate of Princeton High School. She was employed from 1969-1989 by Mendota Community Hospital as a nurse's aide in the OB Dept. After retiring in 1989 she entered the family business, R & R. Flight Service where she was the driving force in their day to day operations.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle of Mendota; one daughter, Debbie Younglove of Oregon; one son, Don (Peggy) Younglove of Mendota; two granddaughters, Sarah Younglove and Madison Younglove and one grandson, Jason Ward.

She was preceded by her parents and one son Dennis in 2016.
