Betty Ann Champlin, 81, of Earlville died Jan. 5, 2008, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mendota. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John?s Lutheran Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born April 2, 1926, in Waterman to Ornald and Hazel (Thorson) Thompson. She married Elmer Champlin on Dec. 28, 1946, in Leland. She was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church. She is survived by two sons, Gary Champlin of Mendota and Herbert (Nancy) Champlin of Mendota; four grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003. Memorials may be directed to St. John?s Lutheran Church.
