Betty Rhodes Moore, 95,

Home, died Dec. 29,
2014, in the home.
Funeral services will be
at 11 a.m. Friday in Merritt

Burial
will be
at Troy
Grove
Cemetery.
Visitation
will be one hour prior
to services Friday at the funeral
home.
She was born Oct. 18,
1919, in El Paso to Walter
and Mabel (Moyer) Parrish.
Due to the death of
her mother, she was raised
by her adoptive parents,
Martin and Anna Fahler.
She married Cedric Moore
in 1968.
She graduated from Mendota
High School. She lived
and farmed in the Triumph
area for many years.
She loved to sing and
dance. She was a member
of the Hardscrabble Minstrel
group in Triumph.
She loved fishing, needlepoint,
knitting and sewing.
She and her husband built
and operated the "Sea Oats
Motel" at the Outer Banks
of North Carolina until retirement.
She lived with her daughter,
Chris for four years
before entering Mendota
Lutheran Home in 2009.
She is survived by one
daughter, Christine Loy
of Triumph; one son, Bart
(Margie) Rhodes of La
Salle; six grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandchild; two
stepchildren, Patricia Moore
of North Carolina and Cedric
Moore Jr. of Washington
State.
She was preceded in
death by her husband in
November 2008; one son,
Martin Huss, a number of
brothers and sisters; and her
son-in-law, Ronnie Loy in
November 2014.
