Betty J. Oberschelp, 69, of
Mendota died Sept. 14,
2015, in St. Anthony's Hospital,
Rockford.
Committal services will
be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in
St. Patrick's Cemetery, Sublette
Township with the Rev.
Ralph Faber officiating.
Visitation will be 10-11
a.m. Saturday in Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota.
She was born Oct. 1,
1945, in Mendota to Frank
and Esther (Wade) Schultz.
She married Bruce Oberschelp
on April 24, 1965, in
Maytown. She was a 1963
graduate of LaMoille High
School.
She attended Community
United Methodist Church in
LaMoille. She was employed
by the Mendota
Lutheran Home as a CNA.
She was a licensed beautician
and owned Betty's
Country Lane Beauty Shop.
She is survived by her
husband; one daughter,
Amanda (Bob) Lemmer of
Sublette; eight grandchildren;
two sisters, Gladys
VanNorden and Audrey
Barlow, both of LaMoille;
and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by her parents and an
infant granddaughter,
Audra.
