Obituary
Betty J. Sears, 74, of Mendota passed away at home on August 25, 2020.
Betty was born in Aurora, Illinois on October 29,1945 to James and Sara (Eads) Miller.
She grew up in Downers Grove, met her husband Dennis Sears and they married on December 8, 1969.
She loved nature very much as her favorite place to visit was Boulder Junction, Wisconsin, while her favorite bird was a loon. She loved to bake and cook family recipes and loved her granddaughter's cooking as well. She cherished time with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband Dennis of 50 years, her daughter Shannon (Jeff) Morey of Mendota, her 2 grandchildren Keely and Jeremy Morey of Mendota and her three grand-cats Mater, Enzo and Milo Morey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Gary Miller and Jack Miller.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or services. There will be a celebration of life at a late date. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota assisted the family with arrangements.
