Betty Lou Thomas, 84, of Heritage Health,
Mendota died April 6, 2013, in Heritage Health.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in
First United Methodist Church, Mendota, with the
Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at
Restland Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday in Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota.
She was born April 16, 1928, in Kewanee to
Charles and Alfreda (Wager) Dumbauld. She
married Robert Thomas on Sept. 19, 1948, in
Kewanee. She was a member of First United
Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Danny (Melva
Jo) Thomas of Avon, Ind., and Richard (Therese)
Thomas of Mendota; four grandchildren, Christi
(Joe) Morel, Bradley (Abby) Thomas, Ginger
(Jim) Kellett and Debbie Thomas; and six greatgrandchildren,
Spencer and Jillian Morel, Jack
Thomas and James, Gavin and Vincent Kellett.
She was preceded in death by her husband in
1994 and one sister, Shirley.
