Obituary
Betty J. Worple, age 76, of Mendota, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022.
She was born on March 25th, 1946 in Steward, Illinois to the late John Henry Trout and Mamie (May) Trout.
She was preceded in death by her children Ellen Rogers and Johnathon Matthew Worple, her brothers James E. Trout, George E. Trout, Charles Trout, and John F. Trout and her sisters, Mary Lou Lance and Martha Brittingham
Betty is survived by her children; Allen C. (Vhadz) Worple (Chris), and Joseph Tobias (Deirdre) Worple (Toby); 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and her living siblings Rev. Luella Loveless, Patsy Jo (William) Kresal and Beverly (Wayman) Thompson.
Betty played piano and organ for many churches and denominations around Elma, Iowa and Mendota. She was loved and respected by so many of her family! She will truly be missed by many!
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Private burial will be at Steward Cemetery, Steward. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
