Billie Ray Bodenhamer, 77, of LaMoille died Sept. 20, 2011, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Graveside services will be at a later date at Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon. Arrangements were provided by Merritt Funeral Home. Mr. Bodenhamer was born Dec. 4, 1933, in Galesburg to Charles and Minnie (Pool) Bodenhamer. He served with the U.S. Air Force. He was employed as a truck driver prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of East Peoria; one son, Calvin of Texas; one daughter, Pamela of Texas; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his mother, Minnie Bodenhamer of Spring Valley; and three sisters, Marilyn Davis of Spring Valley, Carol Cromwell of LaMoille and Charlotte Gerald of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his father, one daughter and one sister. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
