Brian A. Clausen, 39, of 573 N. 4009 Road, Mendota died Sept. 16, 2008, in his home after an extended battle with cancer. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 27th in The First Baptist Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Tim Kaiser officiating. A private burial will be at a later date at Wyoming Cemetery, Paw Paw. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, provided the arrangements. Mr. Clausen was born Dec. 17, 1968, in DeKalb to James Bruce and Judy Kay (Dewey) Clausen. He married Lisa Ann Baker on June 27, 2007, in Mendota. He graduated from Mendota High School in 1987 and was a machinist for Caterpillar Inc. in Montgomery since 1994. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mendota. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Michael and Riley; two daughters, Megan and Virginia, all at home; his mother, Judy Clausen of Mendota; one sister, Angela (Mark) McGowan of Herrin; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Memorials may be directed to the family.
