Brian Duane Schallhorn, born on August 11, 1974, in Spring Valley, IL, USA. Passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2024.

Surviving Brian are his 3 daughters, Katherine Schallhorn of Beaverton, MI, Rebecca and Abigail Schallhorn both of Peru, IL; 1 son, Jeramy Smith of LaSalle, IL and his father Mark (Sharon) Schallhorn of LaMoille, IL; Theresa Schallhorn of Peru, IL who is also the mother of his children and his former wife; 1 brother: Brandon Schallhorn of Seatonville, IL.

Brian was a hardworking selfless man who lived for his children. He was an active member of Union Local 76. Brian was employed by Rausch Infrastructure for many years, and he gave freely of his time to those in need. As a father, Brian was a constant source of support, wisdom, and unconditional love. He instilled in his children the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. He made a point to go out of his way to make everyone feel welcomed, special, and loved. Brian's loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Brian enjoyed spending time in the wilderness. His love for nature was only outmatched by his love for his children. His memory will continue to live on in their hearts and the hearts of those who knew him. His love for life and the memories he created will continue to inspire and influence those left behind.

A public visitation will be held 4-6PM, Friday, November 29 at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home, 800 Monroe Street, Mendota, IL.
Graveside service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, November 30th at the Peru Cemetery in Peru, IL.

In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family.
