Obituary
William Bruce Oberschelp, 79 of LaSalle and formerly of Mendota died December 30, 2019 in his residence.
There will be no services. Cremation rites were accorded. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota assisted the family.
Bruce was born August 8, 1940 in Princeton to Harold and Bernice (Warkins) Oberschelp. He married Betty Schultz April 24, 1965 in Maytown.
Bruce was a 1958 graduate of Amboy High School. He served in the Army reserves from 1962-1968. He engaged in dairy farming all his life.
He is survived by one daughter Amanda (Robert) Lemmer of Amboy; 8 grandchildren Andrea Bialas, Mitchel Bialis, Alison (Michael) O'Brien, Jackson Lemmer, Amy (James) Coleman, Jessica (Chris) Lemmer, Jacob (Lindsay) Lemmer and Samantha (Abby) Lemmer; 11 great grandchildren Layla, Jeffrey, Elsa, Brianna, Gabriel, Jessica, Lillian, Braylen, Cayden, Kaylee and Landon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 2015, two brothers Harry and David and an infant granddaughter Audra.
