Burton H. Wolf, 92, of LaMoille passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Aperion Care, Princeton.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church (Church on the Hill), Princeton with Rev. Wayne Derber officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors by the Ladd American Legion. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday in the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.

Burton was born February 17, 1930 in Spring Valley to Emil and Ella (Hassler) Wolf. He married Elaine Bell on August 12, 1956 at Hollowayville United Church of Christ.

Burton was a 1947 graduate of Spring Valley High School. He served in the United States Army Airborne, 11th Division from 1953-1955. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and a life member of the NRA. He was a retired caretaker of the Bache Memorial Chapel in Van Orin. Burton was and avid outdoorsman and especially liked squirrel hunting.

He is survived by his wife Elaine of LaMoille; his seven children Kevin Wolf, Jeff (Leslie) Wolf, Todd (Kris) Wolf, Terrill Wolf, Rhonda (Greg) Gott, Tim (Katie) Wolf and Angela (Lee) Hewitt; 10 grandchildren Josh Wolf, Jason Wolf, Tyler Wolf, Wyatt Gott, Madeline Hewitt, Teagan Hewitt, Jack Killin, Grace Killin, Alex Killin and Charlotte Wolf and his sister Ione (Carl) Holm.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
