Carol J. Rockwood, 83, of Mendota, passed away June 18, 2022 at OSF St. Paul Medical Center, Mendota.

Carol was born December 19, 1938 in Earlville to August and Rose (Guilde) Flicker. She married Bernard "Rocky" Rockwood on January 28, 1971.

Carol was a graduate of Earlville High School. She worked as a beautician at Heritage Manor in Mendota for over 40 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She loved her family dearly and loved watching her grandkids excel at anything they did.

She is survived by her children Cyndie (Michael Swanson) Veith of Mendota, Lance Pointer of Streator, Steve (Julie) Pointer of Marseilles and Kay (John) Roda of Peru; her sister Betty Peters of Ottawa; grandchildren Carley, Gracie, Travis, Ryan, Brandy, Andy, Aubrie and Drew and a great granddaughter Charlotte.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2018 and a brother Bob.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with burial at Precinct Cemetery, Earlville. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.
