Carol Lea Schwingle, 74, of Mendota died Feb. 3, 2016, in Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church, Mendota with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Saturday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Carol was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Mendota to William and Helen (Pyszka) Fitch. She married Robert "Pete" Schwingle on Aug. 6, 1961, in Mendota.
She graduated from Mendota High School in 1959. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mendota and served on various church committees. She was employed for 38 years by First State Bank of Mendota before her retirement. She was a member of Graves-Hume Library Board and a volunteer with Mendota Community Hospital gift shop.
She enjoyed playing bridge and boating with her husband. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and attending her grandchildren's activities.
She is survived by one daughter, Wendy (Rob) Letterly of Mendota; one son, W. Todd (Susan) Schwingle of Hudson; and three grandchildren, Dr. Brittany Montavon and Stephanie and Courtney Schwingle.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 27, 2005; her parents; one brother, Robert Fitch; and an infant brother, Richard.
