Carolyn Politsch, 73, of
Mendota died Sept. 3, 2014,
in Rockford Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be
at 11 a.m. Monday in First
United Methodist Church,
Mendota with the Rev. Michael
Morrell officiating.
Burial will be at Restland
Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m.
Sunday in Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota.
She was born May 4,
1941, in Benton to Charles
and Marian (Veach) Taylor.
She married Gene Politsch
on June 21, 1959, in Mendota.
She was a graduate of
Mendota High School with
the class of 1959. She and
her husband owned and operated
Classon's Superfoods
in Mendota.
She was a member of
First United Methodist
Church, Mendota, served
on the church council and
was a past president of the
council, member and past president
of the Mendota
Ladies Golf Auxiliary, and a
volunteer at Mendota Community
Hospital.
She is survived by her
husband; one son, Randy
(Jane) Politsch of Mendota;
one daughter, Peggy (Michael)
Vance of Urbandale,
Iowa; five grandchildren,
Reid Politsch, Kacey Chezum,
Logan and Megan
Vance and Jarrah Stephens.
She was preceded in
death by her parents and an
infant daughter.

Methodist Church.
