Cassandra Marie Martin, 37, of Earlville, passed away August 12, 2021 from injuries sustained in a vehicular accident in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church, Earlville with Rev. Del Keilman officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded after the funeral and private burial will be at a later date. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.
Cassandra "Jip-C" was born in St. Charles on April 18, 1984, to William and Deborah (Downey) Martin, Sr.
She is survived by her parents William and Deborah Martin, Sr. of Earlville; five siblings and seven nieces and nephews; Clarissa (Amelia) Martin, Chelsea and Stephen (Henry, Asher, and baby) Hall, William Jr. and Amanda (William III, Annabelle, and Edward) Martin, Jeromy Martin, and Catrina Martin.
Cassie was the eldest of six kids and took pride in the role of being the big sister and one of her favorite things was being an aunt, she always made time for her family. She was a free spirit who had the biggest heart and always put others first, she was good at making new friends on her adventures. She had a passion for art and creating, never taking herself too seriously she knew how to make everyone smile. She was accepting and genuine making sure everyone she talked too knew they were important. She was always up for a new adventure and any challenges, including working on cars, climbing mountains, cross country travels, motorcycling, and chartering unknow territories to start a new homestead. Now she is on the next greatest adventure. Cassie left a mark on our hearts and will never be forgotten.
