Catherine E. Freedman, 77, of LaMoille died May 30, 2016, in Liberty Village, Princeton.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Van Orin Gospel Church, Van Orin with the Revs. Jeffery Patrick and Rene Noble officiating. Burial will be at Hill Cemetery, LaMoille.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota assisted the family with the arrangements.

Catherine was born Jan. 11, 1939, in Spring Valley to John H. and Frances M. (Cissel) Cherry. She married Alan Freedman on Aug. 23, 1968, in River Grove.

She was a member of Van Orin Gospel Church.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Freedman of Schaumburg and Keith Freedman of LaMoille; one sister, Linda (Dave) Long of Rock Falls; and one brother, Charles (Betty) Cherry of LaMoille.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 28, 2000; one brother, John; and two sisters, Mary Alice and Louisa.
