Services will be at 10:30
a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross
Church, Mendota, with the
Rev. Fredi Gomez Torres officiating.
Burial will be at Holy
Cross Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m.

She was
born Dec.
12, 1918, in
Arlington
to Michael
and Minne
(McMahon)
Lucas. She married Martin
Masear on Oct. 3, 1942, in
Holy Cross Church.
She moved to Mendota in
1938 and attended Mendota
High School. Prior to her marriage,
she worked at the
Mendota Sewing Factory,
Inderrieden Canning Co.,
Westclox and H.D. Conkey.
She later worked at Del Monte,
Wayside Press and retired from
Hart Carter in Mendota.
Mrs. Masear was a 65-year
member of Holy Cross St.
Mary?s Altar Society, a 69-year
member of Holy Cross
Church, member of Mendota
Golf Auxiliary and Mendota
Elks Club committees.
She is survived by three
daughters, Patty (Dave) Bilkey
of Bloomington, Minn., Sue
Masear Anderson of Mendota
and Sandy (John) Whitmore of
Fort Wayne, Ind.; one son, Bill
(Cole) Masear of Archdale,
N.C.; nine granddaughters,
five great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Lenore Christenson of
Urbana, and Eileen
Sondgeroth of Tulsa, Okla.;
cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death
by her husband in 2004, two
brothers, and one sister.
Memorials may be directed
to St. Mary?s Altar Society at
Holy Cross Church and
Mendota Area Senior Services.
Pallbearers will be Jason
Martin, Shane Sigle, Jerry
Eischens, Jake Eischens, Zack
Perkins and Sean Christy.
