Cathy E. Kilmartin, 70, of Mendota passed away January 19th in her home surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30a.m., in Holy Cross Church, Mendota with Rev. Bo Schmitt officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the mass and burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8p.m., in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Cathy was born January 1, 1946 in Mendota to Nicholas and Mary Catherine (Biers) Phalen. She married Jack Kilmartin March 15, 1969 in Holy Cross Church.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church and worked in Holy Cross School cafeteria for 30 years. She was a member of Mendota Golf Club and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.
She is survived by her husband Jack of Mendota; three daughters Jackie (Brian) Near of Mendota; Jill (Brad) Beasley of Omaha, NE., and Beth (Matt) Novak of Mendota; sister Mary Margaret Frey of Mendota; four grandchildren Kylie, Karly, Kasen and Kooper; and one great grandson Gianluca.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Nick and Jack and two sisters Nancy and Silvia.
