Obituary
Charles A. Brown, 79, of Spring Valley died March 9, 2013, in St.
Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley.
Private services will be April 3. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota provided
arrangements.
He was born June 20, 1933, in Mississippi. He was employed by Electrical
Utilities Co., La Salle, for 20 years. He later became a truck driver. He was a
member of VFW Post 4079 in Mendota.
He is survived by three sons, Vincent of Mark, and Charles and James of
Arizona; one daughter, Linda Mayfield of Milwaukee, Wis.; five grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lee Ester and Carroll Ann; and a
special friend, Ruth Howdeshell of Mendota.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
