Charles (Randy) R. Welch, 58, of Mendota, Il. passed away on January 19, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a 5 year battle with a lung disease.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Bill Clarke officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.

Randy was born November 6, 1960 in Georgetown, MS to Alvis and Pauline (Sills) Welch. He married Kimberley Macaluso in March 18, 1982 in Jackson, MS.

Randy graduated Crystal Springs High School in MS in 1978. He worked 10 years at Unytite Inc in Peru where he retired due to his illness. He was a Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed drinking coffee while watching the sunrise. His family was his world to him. He loved all 5 of his grandchildren and enjoyed watching their sports and their excitement on their faces when they won a game and his granddaughter's dance recitals. He loved to play board games with his family like Sorry and Solitaire.

Randy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kimberley A. Welch of Mendota; daughter Michelle (Pedro) Gonzalez of Mendota; son Timothy (Noreen) Welch of Mendota;  5 grandchildren Austin Welch, Dylan Welch , Alex Gonzalez,  Evelina Gonzalez and Landyn Welch; 6 brothers;  3 sisters and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents and a brother Gerald Welch.
