Christopher D. Kirby, 43, of Triumph died June 23, 2011, in Mendota Community Hospital surrounded by his family. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. The Rev. Tim Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in Precinct Cemetery, Earlville. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Mr. Kirby was born Dec. 27, 1967, in Sandwich to Donald and Arlie (Christian) Kirby. He married Krissy Hess on Sept. 20, 2008, in First Baptist Church of Mendota. He attended Earlville High School. He was a forklift operator for several warehouses . He loved his family, NASCAR, ultimate fighting, four-wheeling and fishing with his dog, Lucky Ray. Survivors include his mother, Arlie Kirby of Eagan, Tenn.; wife, Krissy of Triumph; three daughters, Amanda Kirby of Marseilles, Molly Kirby of Compton and Sarah Kirby of Rochelle; two grandchildren, Isaac Smith and Cameryn Kirby; two brothers, Robert (Lola ) Kirby of Lafollette, Tenn., and Jeff (Stacey) Kirby of Lee's Summit, Mo.; maternal grandparents, George and Gladys Christian of Eagan, Tenn.; and nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father and paternal grandparents Fred and Janie Kirby. Memorials may be directed to the family.
