Obituary
Clarence "Butch" Smith, 64,
of Mendota died Feb. 3, 2014, in
Rockford Memorial Hospital.
There will be no services. Private
burial will be at a later date.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday in
Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Mr. Smith was born March 11,
1949, in Mendota to Stanley and
Marian (Richard) Smith. He graduated
from Mendota High School.
He worked at R.R. Donnelley in the
maintenance department.
He is survived by one daughter,
Michelle Smith of Mendota; one
granddaughter, Gracie; two brothers,
Kenneth (Kathy) Smith of Mendota
and Jack (Gloria) Smith of Peru; one sister Marilyn Smith of Peru; and
two nieces, Chant'le Smith and Lori
Owens.
He was preceded in death by three
brothers, William, Louis and Jim; and
one niece, Danielle Smith.
Memorials may be directed to the
family.
