Clayton F. Buettner, 84, of Mendota
died May 20, 2013, in Mendota Lutheran
Home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home,
Mendota with the Rev. Deanna Mede
officiating. Burial will be at Restland
Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday
in the funeral home.
Mr. Buettner was born May 31,
1928, in Sublette to Raymond and Edna
(Guether) Buettner. He married Lucille
Althaus on Aug. 25, 1948, in Perkins
Grove Methodist Church.
He was a member of Zion United
Methodist Church, Lee County Pork
Producers, Bureau County Cattle
Feeder's Association, a 4-H leader and
a lifetime member of the Farm Bureau.
He was a livestock and grain farmer in
the Sublette area.
He is survived by his wife of Mendota;
one son, Kenneth (Ruth) Buettner of
LaMoille; three grandchildren, Jeff
(Pam) Buettner, Doug (Allison) Buettner
and Tim (Danielle) Buettner; five greatgrandchildren,
Caden, Reiss, Calli,
Ellyott and Abygail; one brother, Wayne
(Linda) Buettner of Kings; two sisters,
Geraldine (Harold) Sauer of Mendota
and Lois Faber of Mendota; and nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two
brothers, Ralph and Earl.
Memorials may be directed to Zion
United Methodist Church or the donor's
choice.
