Dale F. Carter, 81, of Mendota died peacefully at his home on February 11th. Funeral services will be Monday, February 15th at 7:00p.m., in the Merritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Everson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m., Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Hyacinth's Cemetery at a later date.
Dale was born September 30, 1934 in Salem, Il. to Ventley and Rivel (Burkitt) Carter. He married Marlene Kasza December 20, 1958 in Oregon, Il.
Dale worked for Sundstrand in LaSalle before retiring in 2000. He enjoyed riding his motorcyle and loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities.
He is survived by two daughters Jennifer (Michael) Dudek of Granville and Jacki (William) Martin of Bloomington; two sons Michael (Sue) Carter of LaSalle and Mark Carter of Mendota; two brothers Cliff Carter of Pomona, MO. and Charlie Carter of Marion; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife in 2005.
