Darwin Croisant, 79, of Mendota died December 6, 2014 at Manor Court in Peru. Funeral services will be
held at 11:00a.m., Thursday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota with Rev. Dell Olson officiating. Burial
will be at German Ev. Church Cemetery in Hollowayville. Visitation from 4-7p.m. Wednesday in the
Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. He was born July 1, 1935 in LaSalle County to Jacob and Fern (Klinefelter)
Croisant. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1212
and Mendota Moose Lodge. He was a past member of LaSalle County Musician's Union Local 307, Echo
Flying Club, IL State Auctioneer's Assoc., National Auctioneer's Assoc., IL Assoc. of Realtors, Flying
Farmers Assoc., IL Coalition of Appraisal Professionals. He played drums with Al & His Pals and also
The Lincolnaires. He graduated from L-P High School in 1953. He served with the Army National Guard.
He is survived by two daughters: Sherri (Victor) White of Urbana, IL and Vicki Hurlburt of Rockford; 6 grandchildren,
one brother; Donald (Leila) Croisant of LaSalle' the mother of the daughters; Betty Croisant of West Brooklyn, IL.
He was preceded by his parents, one sister Evelyn Baker and one brother, Leroy. Memorials may be directed to IL Valley PADS or
St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota.
