David L. Dilbeck, 68, of Mendota died Dec. 26, 2011, in La Salle County Nursing Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille. The Rev. Sang Myung will officiate. Burial will be at Wisner Cemetery, Ophir Township. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday in Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille. Arrangements are by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Mr. Dilbeck was born Sept. 28, 1943, in Mendota to Lowell and Pauline (Earle) Dilbeck. He married Jane Feik Cogdal on April 29, 1979, in LaMoille. He farmed in Mendota and the surrounding area. He was a member of Mendota Masonic Lodge and Ironworkers Local 368/444 and a former member of Wisner Cemetery Board, Elks Lodge 1212, Mendota Moose Lodge and Waltham Curling Club. He graduated from Mendota High School. Survivors are his wife of Mendota; five daughters, Denise (Mike) Iwanicki of Batavia, Deborah (Don) Hill of Mesa, Ariz., Dawn Dilbeck Boucher of Miami Beach, Fla., Denise (Roger) Walzer of LaMoille and Cynthia (Rodney) Rod of Arlington; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Gayle Larabee of Bloomington, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents and his motherin- law, Doris Feik. Memorials may be directed to La Salle County Nursing Home.
