David Lloyd Lawrence, 69, of Arlington, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, in his home.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 5 -7 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille. The funeral service will be on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoillle. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.

David was born August 29, 1953, in Mendota to Donald and Leola (Hassler) Lawrence. He married Hazel Miller on July 1, 1978, at Community United Method Church, LaMoille.

He graduated from LaMoille High School in 1971. He was a member of the Community Methodist Church in LaMoille. David raised his family in Arlington for the last 45 years and enjoyed fishing, listening to Johnny Cash, watching John Wayne movies, being outdoors on his patio, sitting by the pool and most of all making his family laugh.

He is survived by his wife Hazel of Arlington; two daughters Crystal (Danny) Rodriguez of La Salle and Toni Lawrence of Chicago; three sons Samuel (Brittney) Lawrence of Seatonville, Matthew Lawrence of Arlington, and Daniel (Samantha) Lawrence of Oglesby; 17 grandchildren; one brother Donald (Collen) Lawrence of Princeton and one sister Dorene (Eugene) Barr of Mendota.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Delwyn Lawrence.
