David B. Strout, 93, of 3426 East 325
th Road, La Salle died Nov. 10, 2009, in his home. Memorial services will be at noon Monday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Timothy Kenyon officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, La Salle, at a later date. Visitation is two hours prior to services Monday in the funeral home. He was born June 21, 1916, in Deer Park to Elmer and Grace (Cuthbertson) Strout. He married Viola Immel on Oct. 15, 1944, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Peru. He was a farmer. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Peru, Mendota Masonic Lodge, Mendota Shrine Club, Bloomington Consistory and Mohammed Shrine of Peoria. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Debra Strout of Rockford, Marilyn (Les) Luck of Palm Coast, Fla., and Janette (Michael) Scott of Des Moines, Iowa; two granddaughters and one greatgranddaughter. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospital for Children or Mendota Masonic Scholarship Fund.
