Dean Cruse, 72, of 605 First Ave., Mendota died May 27,
2007, in his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home,
Mendota, with the Rev. Larry Sheaves officiating. A private burial
will be at St. John?s Cemetery, Dongola.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Mr. Cruse was born March 18, 1935, in Elco to Peter and
Clara (Poole) Cruse. He married Barbara Beegl on Dec. 20,
1953, in Corinth, Miss.
He worked as a laborer at Caterpillar in Aurora for 29 years
and was a member of United Auto Workers Local 145.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dean Jr. (Tammy) of
Sheridan and Edward of Montgomery; four daughters, Linda
Forsell of Dongola, Joyce Thiele of Sandwich, Crindy Cruse of
Newark and Melissa Carlson of Aurora; one brother, Weldon
(Louise) Cruse of Sebring, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one
great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one
brother.
