Delores J. Rockwood, 53, of Mendota died Feb. 28, 2012, in St. Anthony's Medical Center, Rockford. A memorial service will be at noon Monday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Brian Owens officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be two hours prior to services Monday at the funeral home. She was born July 22, 1958, in Princeton to Bernard "Rocky" and Ruth (Nance) Rockwood. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by five daughters, Crystal Rapp, Carey Smith, Donna (Rob) Saunders, Tara (Ryan) Young, all of Mendota and Jenna Bates of Mexico, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; her father, Bernard "Rocky" (Carol) Rockwood of Mendota; six half-brothers, Everett and George White, Steve and Ricky Rockwood and Lance and Steve Pointer; and five half-sisters, Kathy Freeman, Kay Roda, Gloria Manning, Ruby Christman and Cyndie Vieth. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2000 and one son-in-law, Jason Rapp. Memorials may be directed to the family.
