Diane L. Schlesinger, 84 years old, of Oglesby, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 22, surrounded by her loved ones.

Per Diane’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Cremation care will be handled by Horner-Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Diane was born on December 8, 1941, in Clarion Township, in the family home to Lester and Delphine (Biers) Geuther. Diane was a graduate of Mendota Township High School in 1959. She furthered her education at Sterling School of Beauticians graduating in 1960. Prior to retiring, Diane worked at Montgomery Wards until closure and finished out her working career at Sears. Diane, along with a longtime companion, Kenneth W. Wenzel, enjoyed garage sales, auctions, casinos, and favorite vacation spots of Madison, Wisconsin, and Panama City Beach, Florida. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing cards, and spending quality time with family.

She is survived by her children, Tammy (James) Gunther, Todd (Tammy) Schlesinger, and Tanya (Michael) Zulkowsky. Six grandchildren: Adam (Nicole) Poole, Zachary Zulkowsky, Laura (Parker) Judd, Breanna (Jared) Zulkowsky, Austin (Chole) Poole, Alizabeth (Joseph) Parnell, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald Geuther, and longtime companion of 49 years, Kenneth W. Wenzel.
