Dolores A. Daw, 90, of Mendota, passed away October 12th at Heritage Health,
Mendota. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00a.m., in the Merritt
Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Sheaves officiating. Burial will be in
Melugen Cemetery, Brooklyn Twp. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m., in
the Merritt Funeral Home.
Dolores was born July 24, 1925 in Compton to Clifford A. and Mildred
(Archer) Eddy. She married Orley Daw June 1, 1944 in Dixon.
Dolores was a member of Compton First Baptist Church and Paw Paw Bible
Church and taught Sunday school at both.
She worked at Hart Carter and Conco. She lived at the Mendota High Rise for
28 years which was longer than any other resident.
She is survived by a son Richard (Marianne) Daw of Eau Claire, WI.; two
daughters Rayanne (Chris) Sester of Compton and Carol (Larry) Swope of
Mendota; brother Larry (Sue) Eddy of West Brooklyn; nine grandchildren;
eight great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1964, son Dennis Ray in infancy, three brothers Arthur,
Alan, and Richard Earl, and a sister Norma Haefner.
