Doris L. Meacham, 61, of Mendota died June 13, 2009, in Amboy Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Tim Kaiser officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation is for two hours prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born Oct. 5, 1947, in Amboy to Fred and Elsa (Blan) Kessel. She married Edmund Meacham on Aug. 19, 1972 in Amboy. Mrs. Meacham was first employed by Hart-Carter in 1966 and then HCC prior to her retirement. She is survived by her husband of Mendota; one daughter, Tracy Meacham of Mendota; one sister, Alice Herzog of Amboy; one brother, Rick (Peggy) Kessel of Amboy; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents and five brothers. Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church in Mendota or the donor's choice.
