Dorothy A. Richert, 86, of Mendota Lutheran Home passed away Wednesday December 14th, 2016 in OSF St. Paul Medical Center, Mendota.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Chaplain Kent Terry officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at St. Casimir Cemetery, Chicago. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Dorothy was born January 7, 1930 in Chicago to Bernard and Anna (Paulanewicz) Felske. She married George Richert on January 16, 1954 in Chicago.
She attended nursing school at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Chicago. She worked as a registered nurse at Central Steel and Wire in Chicago. She was a member of Church of Transfiguration in Palos Park and was a member of Daughters of the King and served as Altar Guild Director for fourteen years.
She is survived by her daughter Laura (Robert) Galasinski of Compton; her brother Robert (Ellen) Felske of Bruce, WI.; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three nephews.
She was preceded by her husband in 1968 and her son Kurt in 1977.
