Dorothy Saylor, 95, of Mendota died Feb. 21,
2014, in Mendota Lutheran Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael
Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland
Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home.
She was born March 11, 1918, in Laddonia,
Mo., to Henry and Blanche (Gibson) Youngblood.
She married Herbert Saylor on Feb. 15, 1936, in
Missouri.
She was employed by Wayside Press in
Mendota before her retirement. She was a member
of Women of the Moose.
She was a member of First United Methodist
Church, Mendota. She moved to Mendota from
Missouri in 1948.
She is survived by on daughter, Shirley Morris
of Mendota; five sons, Robert (Rose Ann) Saylor,
Richard (Karen) Saylor, Gerald (Cindy) Saylor,
Kenneth (Claudia) Saylor and Donald (Bonnie)
Saylor, all of Mendota; 15 grandchildren; 41
great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on
Dec. 9, 1981, and two sisters.
