Douglas Wagner, 21, of 1808 Stroble Ave., Mendota died July 15, 2007, in Valley West Hospital, Sandwich. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. James Horvath officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Mr. Wagner was born June 1, 1986, in Mendota to Danny and Donna (Shorter) Wagner. He had attended Mendota High School and was employed by Midstates Express Inc., Peru. He is survived by his mother, Donna (Mark Spenader) Wagner of Mendota; his father, Danny Wagner of Rochelle; two sisters, Holly Wagner of Milwaukee, Wis., and Chrystal Wagner of Mendota; maternal grandfather Kenneth Shorter of Wallace,W. Va.; paternal grandparents, Ron and Judy Wagner of Compton; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Shirley Shorter. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude?s Children?s Fund or the donor?s choice.
