Edmund C. Robinson, Jr., 70, of Mendota, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet, Il.

Visitation for Ed will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday May 31, 2024 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Elise Rothfusz officiating.

Ed was born on September 23, 1953 in Mendota to Edmund and Elizabeth (Kerchner) Robinson.

Ed attended Mendota High School and drove a truck throughout his working career. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs and loved to watch them on TV.

Ed is survived by his mother Elizabeth; his only child Edmund C. Robinson III; two younger brothers David Robinson and Mark (Jennifer) Robinson; four sisters Geraldine Fisher, Sue King, Debbie (Lonnie) McKee and Nancy Lohman. He also has a "slew" of nieces and nephews which he most surely teased. He also leaves behind his most beloved 4-legged pals Fred and Emma.

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers in law Jim and Larry, sister in law Kathy and his "poker game" many years ago...
