Edward Hathaway, 44, of Mendota died July 7, 2008, in KSB Hospital, Dixon. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Tim Kaiser officiating. Interment will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota, following cremation rites. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Mr. Hathaway was born Aug. 25, 1963, in La Salle to John and Barbara (Klein) Hathaway. He attended First Baptist Church in Mendota. Survivors are his mother, Barbara Hathaway of Mendota; one brother, Jeffrey Hathaway of Mendota; one sister, Lisa (Tim) Trevier of Ladd; three nephews; one niece; and aunts and uncles, including Lloyd Hathaway of Oglesby. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorials may be directed to Mendota Little League.
