Edward Cledis Nelson, 67, Compton passed away May 30, 2020 in his residence.

Cremation rites have been accorded and private burial will be in Dundee, Il. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota assisted the family.

Edward was born November 18, 1952 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to James Alfred and Viola Imojean (Mabry) Nelson.

He loved to watch drag racing and go fishing. He very much enjoyed drinking coffee with his father.

He is survived by his father; two brothers Gary Nelson and Bob Nelson; sister Brenda Lietzow; two sons James E. Nelson and Jason W. Nelson and four grandchildren Jessica, Casey, Seth and Jonathan.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 2019 and a brother Boyd Nelson.
