Obituary

Margaret Eileen Full, 97, of Sublette passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Mendota Lutheran Home.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Sublette with Rev. Randy Fronek officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sublette. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m, in the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling arrangements.

Margaret was born on the family farm near Earlville on September 8, 1920 to Leo and Frances (O'Donnell) McConville. She married Lester Full July 23, 1947 at St. Theresa's Church in Earlville.

During World War II she was a spot welder at Conkey's in Mendota. After that she taught at Bell School in Waltham Township where eleven of the thirteen students were her relatives. Her married life was spent in Sublette where she was known for her cooking and gardening skills as well as her cinnamon rolls. Eileen worked as a teacher's aide at St. Mary's School in Sublette as well as teaching Religious Education after the school closed. In addition, she worked part-time at Sublette Farmer's Elevator during harvest time. After Lester passed away after 36 years of marriage, Eileen was often traveling with groups from First State Bank, square dancing, bowling, or reading books from the library in Amboy. She was very proud of her Irish heritage claiming that she was a member of the F.B.I. (Full Blooded Irishman).

Eileen is survived by her children Shirley ( Richard) Vivian of Dixon, Gerald Full of Sublette, William Full of Walton, and Jean (Lane) Harris of Clermont, Florida as well as her daughter-in-law Holly Full of Sublette. She was blessed with grandchildren Christopher Vivian, Jeremy Vivian, Aaron Full, Andrew Full, Katherine Full, Meghan Streit, and Luke Full as well as 9 great-grandchildren.   She is also survived by her sisters Doris Jessen of Ottawa and Shirley Smith of Madison, WI and her brother John McConville of Earlville.

Eileen was predeceased by her husband, parents, son Donald Full and siblings Mary Graham and Leo, Donnell and Emmett McConville.
