Elaine Ellen Agnes (Kingsley) Weiden, 93, of Utica passed away June 5, 2016, in Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Church, Utica with Monsignor James J. Swaner officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Utica.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Arrangements were handled by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Elaine was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Utica to Ralph and Alice Katherine (Ames) Kingsley. She married Robert Harold Weiden on June 3, 1944, in St. Mary's Church.
She worked for Electrical Utilities Co. for 17 years. She was member of St. Mary's Church where she sang in the choir and served in Daughters of Isabella. She was chairperson of American Cancer Society Drive.
She is survived by her son Thomas W. Weiden of Vermilion, Ohio; her daughter Colleen A. Weiden, Ph.D. of Utica; grandson, Michael W. Weiden of Bay Village, Ohio; great-grandson Tyler Weiden and great-granddaughter Meredith Weiden, both of Bay Village; seven step-granchildren; and her brother, Roy James Meador of Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Alice Kingsley; husband, Robert; twin sister, Kay Wahl; and two sisters, Doris Ohlendorf and Marion Kingsley.
