Elaine Zimmerlein, 87, of Mendota
died June 5, 2013, in St. Francis
Medical Center, Peoria.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Monday in St. John's Lutheran
Church in Mendota with the Rev.
Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will
be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation is one hour prior to services
Monday in the church. Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota provided
arrangements.
She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in
Mendota to Carl and Mabel (Becket)
Pohl. She married Alvin Zimmerlein
on Dec. 6, 1952, in Mendota. She
was a member of St. John's Lutheran
Church.
She worked at Muzzy's Gas
Station as a bookkeeper for many
years and farmed with her husband.
She volunteered at Mendota
Community Hospital for 30 years.
She is survived by two sisters,
Betty (John) Fassig of Mendota and
Marian Gross of LaMoille; nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
husband in 1987.
