Elaine Zimmerman, 79, of Paw Paw died Sept. 19, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Compton with the Rev. Jeff Schlesinger officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Elaine was born April 28, 1938, to Ted and Emma (Miller) Truckenbrod. She married Dean Eich on April 5, 1959, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1998. She married Allan Zimmerman on March 16, 2002.

Elaine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Compton. She was a graduate of Paw Paw High School. Elaine was a farm wife in the Paw Paw area for 57 years. She lived in the same area her entire life. She enjoyed doing all types of crafts, especially crocheting and quilting. She also adored her pets, the country life and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Allan of Paw Paw; one son, Brian (Cheryl) Eich of Davenport, Iowa; two daughters, Becky Eich of Rockford and Sandra Eich of Peru.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Myron Truckenbrod.

Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Compton, Capital Improvement Fund, Tails Animal Shelter in DeKalb or Ottawa Regional Hospice.
